EMTEE Course

The course involves two parts: The Pre- Course Reading & the Hands-on portion.

Pre-Course: The purpose of this is to review basic information so we can spend more one-on-one time with the TEE simulators and less time lecturing during the hands-on portion. You will be required to read and watch videos.

Hands-on Course: We provide 7-hours of hands on training with high fidelity HeartWorks Simulators. There is 1 hour of lecture time and the rest of the course is spent getting comfortable with the probe and learning how to obtain all the required views. The course directors include a Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist and an Emergency Medicine Physician who have been teaching hands-on Resuscitative TEE since 2016.

Simulation Training Works!

The EMTEE Course differs from other educational programs. We spend 90% of the time learning with hands-on SIMULATION.

Didactic instruction is completed from your home prior for arrival.

We aim to spend minimal time lecturing to allow MAXIMUM simulation training to learn how to perform a limited TEE exam.
